Chop your basil and pine nuts before blending them in the food processor so that it's easier to combine everything together.
Pulse the food processor a few times to blend these additions with the other ingredients.
Gradually add the olive oil on slow speed until you get a smooth consistency. Then, season with salt and pepper.
Serve your homemade pesto immediately, or store it in the fridge for another time!
