Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Garlic butter steak bites are tender and juicy, with a rich and hearty red wine sauce. It's a restaurant-quality dinner that you can easily and quickly make at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons red wine, or beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions 

  • Season the pieces of steak on all sides with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the steak pieces on the counter and let them rest for at least 20-30 minutes, until they come up to room temperature.
  • Heat a cast iron or heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat, then melt 2 tablespoons of butter in it.
  • Once the butter is hot, add the steak bites to the skillet. Sear the pieces of steak, then flip and sear the other side. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side for rare or medium-rare, and for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium or medium-well.
  • Push the pieces of steak to the side of the skillet. Put the rest of the butter in the middle of the skillet, along with the garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Add the wine and the Worcestershire sauce and stir to combine.
  • Simmer the sauce for 2 minutes, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 days, or in the freezer for 3 months.
  • Reheat in a 375F air fryer for 2-4 minutes, until warmed throughout.
