Grilled Shrimp

This quick and easy Grilled Shrimp recipe is perfect for serving over rice, on top of a tossed salad, or even as an appetizer! Ready in just 15 minutes, with only 5 simple ingredients, you’ll be firing up the grill for these shrimp all summer long.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

Instructions 

  • If using wooden skewers soak in water for 30 minutes before beginning.
  • Preheat grill to 400°F. Clean grates and spray with nonstick cooking spray or rub oil on grates.
  • Place shrimp in a medium size bowl. Add olive oil, lemon juice, cajun seasoning and garlic. Gently toss shrimp until they are all covered in oil and seasoning.
  • Thread shrimp on skewers and place them on hot grill and cook for 3 minutes. Flip shrimp and cook for additional 2-3 minutes, until cooked through. Shrimp are done cooking when they curl around skewers and are no longer translucent. Serve immediately.

Notes

Storage: We prefer to enjoy these shrimp when they’re fresh off of the grill. However, you can store any leftovers you have in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just make sure that the shrimp have cooled to room temperature prior to storing.
