Total Time4 hours hours 5 minutes minutes
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (1 oz) packet Lipton onion soup mix, dry mix
- ½ cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch, optional for thickening
Spray a large crockpot with non-stick spray. Whisk to combine the cream of mushroom soup, broth, onion soup mix and Worcestershire sauce in the crockpot. Stir in half of the mushrooms.
Season the pork chops with the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then lay them on top of the soup mixture. Top pork chops with the remaining mushrooms.
Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or high for 4 to 6 hours, until pork chops are cooked through and fork tender. We find the lower and slower cook time creates the most tender pork chops.
If you like a thicker gravy stir to combine 2 tablespoons water with 2 tablespoons cornstarch in a small bowl. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the crockpot until well combined. Cook for 8 to 10 more minutes, until the gravy has thickened. Serve immediately with a little chopped parsley and mashed potatoes.
Store: Transfer the cooled leftovers to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheat: Place the pork chops and gravy in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. You can also reheat them in the microwave, but be sure to cover them with a damp paper towel to retain moisture. If the gravy seems too thick after reheating, add a splash of broth or water to loosen it up.
Freeze: Transfer the cooled leftovers to an airtight freezer-safe container, leaving a bit of room for expansion, and freeze for up to 3 months. For best results, thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
