Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges

This quick and easy air fryer sweet potato wedges recipe creates crispy, tender, and well-seasoned sweet potato wedges in under 20 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Thoroughly rinse sweet potatoes and pat dry. The skin is left on, so you’ll want to make sure each sweet potato is clean. Place the potatoes on a cutting board and cut the potatoes once, length wise down the middle making 2 halves. Lay each half flat on the cutting board and cut each half into 1/4 inch wedges.
  • Place the wedges and oil into a gallon ziplock bag and toss to coat. Then add the cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Shake and move the bag around until the wedges are coated with the seasonings.
  • Lay the sweet potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the wedges for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Check at the 10 minute mark, the wedges will be tender and crispy when done.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite aioli, hot honey, ketchup or honey mustard!

Notes

Storage: Transfer cooled fries to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days. 
Freeze: Spread them out on a baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour. Transfer to a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in air fryer following below directions, but cook an extra few minutes until warmed through. 
Reheat: To get your wedges crisp again, reheat them in the air fryer at 400°F for 2 to 3 minutes.
